Experienced instructor with 20+ years experience

Ashley Anjlien Kumar has been learning and performing a variety of South Asian dance styles not limited to Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Bhangra, Gidda, Hip Hop, Bollywood and other Indian Folk dance styles.
She is a mother of 2 young children - most importantly! And she's a Certified Children's Self-Esteem Coach, therefore you know your children are in good hands for this special camp experience.
She has choreographed guest performances for fashion shows, stage shows and pageants, has performed with Actress Karisma Kapoor, and opened concerts of Indo-Fusion bands like Delhi 2 Dublin. She facilitates her trademarked workshop Beyond Bollywood™ for schools and festivals. She's a trained actor (India and Canada) which complements the expressive nature of dance arts. She deeply loves her Indian culture, language and traditions. Her professional work has been featured in short films and music videos. She has been a featured artist in collaborative projects funded by the Edmonton Arts Council and the Alberta Heritage Foundation.
Dance was an outlet for emotional expression for Ashley during childhood and she claims dancing saved her life....
The feedback she received from her audiences over the years inspires her to keep going and share her passion over the years.
Has worked extensively with the Edmonton Public Library, and worked with the Jubilee Auditorium providing workshops.
